PREPARATION & COOKING:

Rinse dried sea cucumber thoroughly to remove surface debris.

To re-hydrate, soak in clean, cold water for 24–48 hours, changing the water every 6–8 hours.

Once softened, bring to a gentle boil for 20–30 minutes, then let cool in the water.

Repeat boiling and soaking steps until fully expanded and soft (can take 3–5 days depending on size and species).

Store rehydrated sea cucumber in clean water in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Ready for use in various dishes.

1. Sea Cucumber Herbal Soup (滋补海参汤)

Base: Simmer chicken, pork ribs, or lean beef with ginger, red dates, and goji berries for 1–2 hours.
Add Sea Cucumber: Slice and add rehydrated sea cucumber.
Simmer: Cook for another 30–45 minutes until tender and infused.
