How to Cook
Method 1 – Stove Top
Rinse herbs briefly.
Add herbs, 1.5L water, and 350g of preferred meat (pre-blanch if using bone-in meat).
Boil for 5 minutes, cover, and simmer for at least 1 hour.
Method 2 – Electric Cooker
Rinse herbs.
Add herbs, 1L water, and 350g of meat.
Use the ‘Soup’ function: 1.5–2 hours on high or 3–4 hours on low, depending on your cooker.
Optional Add-ins: skinless chicken, lean pork, pork ribs, or vegetables like lotus root, Chinese yam, carrot, sweet corn, assorted mushrooms.
Tips for Best Results
If signs of internal heat appear, consume the soup every other day.
Avoid raw, cold, or greasy foods during recovery.
After Day 14, continue with Souper Goodness Dangshen Red Date Tea for 2–4 weeks to gently nourish qi and blood.
