How to Cook
Method 1 – Stove Top
Rinse herbs briefly.
Add herbs, 1.5L of water, and 350g of your preferred meat (pre-blanch if using bone-in meat).
Bring to a boil for 5 minutes, then cover and simmer for at least 1 hour.
Method 2 – Electric Cooker
Rinse herbs briefly.
Add herbs, 1L of water, and 350g of meat.
Select the ‘Soup’ function: cook for 1.5–2 hours on high or 3–4 hours on low (depending on cooker model).
Recommended ingredients:
Skinless chicken, lean pork, pork ribs, or plant-based options like lotus root, Chinese yam, carrots, sweet corn, or assorted mushrooms.
Tips for Best Results
If you experience signs of internal heat, take the soup every other day to avoid over-supplementation.
Avoid raw, cold, or greasy foods during postpartum recovery.
Allow 2–3 hours between soup consumption and breastfeeding to support optimal digestion and baby comfort.
